Seeking New Members!

The Walnut Hill Garden Club is seeking new members for the 2021-2021 Club Year. The club typically meets the first Tuesday night of each month during the months of September through June. This year we expect to have a hybrid of zoom and in person meetings. Our in person meeting location is the Phoenix Lodge in Hanover. Activities include monthly presentations on garden related topics, workshops, social gatherings, traffic islands, garden therapy, and kindergarten seed planting programs. Prior gardening experience is not required, just an interest in learning, and meeting some great people. If you are interested in finding out more you can email Audrey Barresi at [email protected], or Libby Ritchie at [email protected]

50th Anniversary Celebration

Hard to believe the Walnut Hill Garden Club has reached it’s 50 year milestone! Because the Club was founded in 1969, we decided to go with a 60’s theme for our September 2019 Banquet. Everyone dressed in their 60’s garb and we danced to some great music from that time…”Let the Sunshine In”… And we are lucky to still have a several foundings members in our club. We all share a love of gardening, community, and friendship!

Beautiful Blooms

April 17, 2015 – If you are looking for something to do in this wonderful spring weather, stop by Forge Pond Park on King Street in Hanover, and look at the beautiful bulbs popping up.  The Walnut Hill Garden Club in conjunction with the Hanover Parks and Recreation Committee organized a Community Bulb Planting last fall.  Thanks to everyone who participated.   The blooms look beautiful!  Enjoy a nice walk on the park’s paved walking trails, or explore one of the park’s wooded trails.
